Action News 5 is the NBC affiliate in Memphis, TN. We are the first station to broadcast in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri and launched on December 11th, 1948. Action News 5 was the first TN TV station to broadcast in color, the first TN TV station to broadcast in HD, the first TN TV station with a news helicopter, the first TN TV station with a station website and the first TN TV station with a Facebook page.
